September Ties

New ties available on Zazzle. These use patterns I made for Spoonflower but aren't available from there yet.

Fossil Layers - Muted Tie

Fossils, including trilobites, ammonites, and turritellas. I was asked for a less brightly colored version of my older Fossil Layers design.

Bacteriophage - Porcelain Tie

Tie covered with bacteriophage viruses rendered to look like an electron microscope image colored in shades of blue to resemble porcelain. I can't claim to be a fan of viruses in general, but if I had to pick a favorite it would definitely be the bacteriophage. Not only do the infect bacteria (rather than us) but they're the coolest looking virus out there.

Rhinovirus - Porcelain Tie

Similar to the last tie but these are Rhinoviruses. You know, the virus most commonly associated with the common cold. Now if you get sick and accidentally wipe your runny nose on your tie it will just add realism.

Influenza - Porcelain Tie

The last of the porcelain viruses. This is the cause of the infamous Flu. Do you get your vaccine every year? Wear this next time and you might just get an interesting reaction.

Diatoms - Porcelain Tie

This tie is covered in diatoms, a type of algae. They grow intricate shells of silicon around themselves and come in a huge variety of shapes. These little glass houses are among the most beautiful living things you'll ever find in a drop of water.

Color Streaks Ties

Two ties streaked with colors. Cool colors shades of blue and purple and warm colors in shades of red and orange.
